The chief doctor of the medical center SUNY in new York, Wayne Riley spoke about the shortage of personal protective equipment for the doctors working with infected with the coronavirus. His words, reports CNN.
According to Riley, doctors soon will have to compensate for the missing surgical gowns garbage bags and raincoats. He stated that a stock of personal protective equipment in the center will only last for a day and a half.
The doctor explained that doctors have no time to wait for replenishment of equipment from the state reserves, plus they are greatly reduced. “So we’re going to be creative,” added Riley.
