Russian region moved the shoreline cleanup due to coronavirus

Authorities in Khabarovsk region have suffered the cleaning of shores of rivers and lakes for an indefinite period due to pandemic coronavirus. This was stated by the representative of the Ministry of natural resources of the region Alexey Sabitov, reports the portal “the Future of Russia. National projects”.

In the region gathered in the course of the year to clear at least 80 kilometers of the coastline, which was planned to attract more than three thousand volunteers. The government of the region noted that thanks to the stock would cover the rivers and lakes in all regions, including the Amur river. Works are included in the implementation plan of the national project “Ecology”.

Sabitov stressed that in 2019 in the region in terms of cleaning of 6.5 kilometers of the coastal zone with the participation of thousands of volunteers the work was carried out on the plot of 30.9 kilometers with 1.5 thousand activists.

The national project “Ecology” will be implemented in the country until 2024. It is aimed at the complex decision of environmental problems of the country. Its implementation will receive four trillion rubles, three of which will receive from investors. The project also includes such areas as “Preservation of lake Baikal”, “Pure air” and “Improvement of the Volga.”
