In Transbaikalia killed seven people Russian Hitman Andrei Strizhov received 17 years in prison, avoiding a life sentence. On Wednesday, April 29, according to “Chita.Ru”.
According to the newspaper, the convict managed to shorten due to the agreement on cooperation with the investigation, during which he testified about crimes committed by other gang members of Klyuchevskoy. He was guaranteed a criminal case in a special order of proceedings and the appointment of more mild punishment.
The gang operated on the territory of Transbaikalia from 1995 to 2005. Led the criminal group of the former Secretary of Committee of Komsomol of one of Chita plants Konstantin Klyuchevskaya, from whose surname the group got its name. In 2005, he was killed by assassins from his own organization. The bandits also killed his other leader Yevgeny Zharov. They were shot from machine guns in the center of Chita.
According to the Investigative Committee of Russia (TFR) in almost all cases, the victims were members of rival criminal gangs. The bandits also killed two entrepreneurs who had borrowed large sums. Two more victims were two 20-year-old girl who was killed after a petty quarrel.
On 12 March it was reported that the TRANS-Baikal regional court sentenced the leader and five members of an organized criminal group “Klyuchevskaya” for 12 murders. The defendants were convicted of murder, kidnapping and robbery and sentenced to a total of 144 years of imprisonment in a penal colony: Dmitry Nepomnyaschy and Alexander Kudryavtsev received 25 years in prison, Ivan Dagur and Alexander Tyumentsev — 24 years old, Victor Degtyaryov and Alexei Guskov — for 23 years.
