The Minister of economic development Maxim Reshetnikov said that the Russian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) will be able to get grants to pay salaries, the application period will open on 1 may. About it reports on Wednesday, April 29, TASS reported.
“80 billion roubles have been earmarked for grant support of the enterprises of small and medium businesses in the affected industries. The grants will provide in may and June based on the minimum wage for every job in the plant”, — said Reshetnikov.
He also explained that now the companies to obtain enough support to at least one activity code was listed in NACE affected branches.
In connection with the spread of the coronavirus in Russia many enterprises of small and medium businesses were closed. To support entrepreneurs, Russian banks began to give the companies interest-free loans, the size of which is determined by considering the number of employees and minimum wage in the calculation for six months.
In addition, as stated earlier, Prime Minister of Russia Mikhail Mishustin, the government will forbid to disable small and medium businesses from public services even if they have arrears. Support for entrepreneurs is provided by the national project “Small and medium entrepreneurship”, which is implemented in Russia at the initiative of President Vladimir Putin. It involves the increase in the number of employees in small and medium enterprises, including individual entrepreneurs, to 25 million people by the end of 2024, increasing the share of SMEs in GDP to 32 per cent and the share of exports of SMEs — up to 10 percent of the total by 2024.
