Russian holding company USM start to deliver to Russia personal protective equipment for health workers and volunteers. About it reported in a press release received by “the Ribbon.ru” on Wednesday, April 29.
As noted, only in Moscow for a company leased aircraft to be delivered over 25 million units of inventory with a total weight of about 350 tons: protective masks, overalls, gloves and goggles. These defences were purchased by the shareholders of the company will be transferred to the operational headquarters for the prevention of introduction and spread of novel coronavirus infection in Russia.
“Thanks to close cooperation with the operational headquarters, we managed to quickly organize the work for the delivery of personal protective equipment for doctors and volunteers that are at the forefront of the fight against coronavirus. In the near future they will go to the Russian medical institutions. In addition, since the beginning of the pandemic of the company our holding company provide the necessary support to its employees and assistance to medical institutions in all regions of presence”, — said the founder and one of the main shareholders of USM Alisher Usmanov.
So, on April 29 in the capital has arrived a special flight from China, which delivered 1.68 million PPE: 1 million disposable face masks, 30 thousand suits and 650 thousand nitrile gloves.
In early April, shareholders of USM decided to send 2 billion rubles on the needs of the operational headquarters for the fight against coronavirus. Funding allocated for the purchase of means of protection of medical workers and volunteers, transportation, and material support for medical staff and individuals involved in activities of assistance and treatment of victims of coronavirus.
