Financing of treatment of patients with oncological diseases in Russia in the conditions of a pandemic coronavirus has not decreased. On this portal, “the Future of Russia. National projects,” said the head of the National medical research centre named after N. N. Blokhin Ivan Stilidi.
He added that to compensate for limitations in the movements of cancer patients, resulting from the isolation mode, helps telemedicine. “If a person has no opportunity to come to us or not currently needed, but treatment needs to continue, come to the aid of the ability of telemedicine. In less than three weeks of April, the number of telemedical consultations in the SMRC of Oncology named after N. N. Blokhin has grown three times! This consultation “doctor-doctor”,” — said Stilidi.
According to him, the oncological service of Russia, despite the pandemic remains in the framework of their tasks: the system of hospital beds and specialized care for cancer patients has not changed.
Reducing the mortality from cancer is one of the goals of the national project “Health”, which will be completed by the end of 2024. In total it is planned to spend more than 1.7 trillion rubles. The project also aimed at providing Russians with affordable health care and improving its quality, the changing nature of relations between doctors and patients, increasing to 70 percent coverage of primary prevention, introduction of modern clinical recommendations, increase the average life expectancy of Russians at the age of 78 and more.
