Authorities in Novosibirsk region intend to create in the region the scientific-educational center (REC), which experts will be engaged in the development of agricultural technologies. This was reported on the website of the regional government.
As explained by the Minister of science and innovation policy of the Novosibirsk region Alexey Vasilyev, has already identified ten priorities of the future centre — from genetic engineering, cell technologies and technologies for accelerated breeding to create new devices, machines and mechanisms in agriculture. At the same time about his desire to join the REC has declared more than 25 organizations, including leading universities of the region, six scientific institutes of SB RAS and various agribusinesses.
Currently, the Novosibirsk authorities are preparing to file an application to participate in the Federal contest for creation of the REC.
RECs are created in Russia within the Federal program “Development of scientific and scientific-production cooperation” of the national project “Science.” According to her, by 2024, the country must receive a minimum of 15 scientific and educational centers of the world level, 14 competence centres of STI, scientific and research centers. For the program it is planned to allocate 215 billion rubles.
