Lavrov urged to work actively for the liberation of Ukrainians

The Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba at the conference of foreign Ministers “channel four” called his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov to work actively for the liberation of the Ukrainians. About it reports “Interfax-Ukraine”.

Kuleba stated the need for the liberation of fellow citizens who are “held on the territory of the Russian Federation and in the occupied Crimea”.

“And, of course, we paid attention to the issue of exchange of detainees, welcomed the exchanges which have taken place, but, of course, we are still far from the implementation of the formula of exchange “all for all”, so we need to move forward. Here Russia and Ukraine should continue to work,” — said Kuleba on the online media briefing conference.

On 16 April Ukraine has exchanged prisoners with the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk people’s republics (DPR and LPR). Kiev gave the DNR 10 people back nine. The LC of Ukraine went 11 people in the opposite direction — seven.

In the “channel four”, which includes Russia, Ukraine, France and Germany. The group is working to resolve the conflict in the Donbass. The last summit in the “Normandy format” summit held in Paris 9 December 2019. The participants signed the final communiqué, which envisages further implementation of the Minsk agreements.
