In the U.S. the Miami-Dade County, Florida, three members of one family died from a new coronavirus infection. Reported by the New York Post.
The natives of Nicaragua, Mario Mayorga, Jr., his father Mario Sr. and mother Esperanza died from COVID-19 in a few weeks. 45-year-old sister Mayorga, Jr., Violeta, also contracted and is now in quarantine. “They all lived together. The whole world Violeta turned on the head,” says cousin Marcela Lastra.
72-year-old Mario Sr., Esperanza and their daughter Violeta tested on COVID-19 after the son was hospitalized with severe symptoms. The doctors found out that they have the infection only during repeated testing. “They all began to show symptoms with a difference in three to five days. We thought that it would happen all at the same time,” said Lastra in conversation with journalists.
Mario Sr. died from mers on April 10, and nine days later died of his 72-year-old wife Esperanza. Their 42-year-old son died Sunday, April 26, from complications COVID-19.
In March it became known that the inhabitant of the American state of new Jersey and her three children died from the coronavirus in one week. Presumably, several family members became infected in the course of the traditional family dinner.
