The President of Russia Vladimir Putin admitted that the socially oriented non-commercial organizations (NCOs) in the context of pandemic coronavirus will be able to help, as small and medium businesses. He stated this on Thursday, April 30, during online meetings with volunteers, reports TASS.
According to the head of state, he has instructed the government to study this issue. “There are certain proposals for support of socially oriented NGOs in the same way as we support small and medium business”, — said Putin.
The President added that you will also need to think about the support workers, representatives of social facilities that are directly working to combat coronavirus and its implications.
Earlier, Putin instructed the government to implement additional measures to support socially oriented NGOs participating in events to support citizens in connection with the spread of the coronavirus.
Prior to this, the Chairman of “United Russia”, Deputy Chairman of the security Council of Russia Dmitry Medvedev has sent Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin the party’s proposals on measures to support NGOs. In particular, it was proposed to provide the most affected by the pandemic NCO financial support to pay salaries and provide concessional loans at 0 percent for this purpose, to allow NGOs deferral of all taxes (except VAT), and limit at 1 percent the size of the acquiring commissions for online donations to charities.
