Mono town of Pechory in the Pskov region for the first time will receive in 2020 the funds for the development of small and medium business in the framework of the national project “Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and support of individual business initiative”. On Thursday, April 30, told TASS the Chairman of the Committee on economic development and investment policy of the region Andrey Mikheev.

According to him, the Federal budget will be allocated more than 3 million rubles, and 1 percent will add Pskov authorities for co-financing.

“For the development of single-industry towns it is fundamentally important, as the municipality border situated close to the border with Estonia, and develop a small business will allow to accelerate and simplify the creation of the first in the region of the territory of advancing socio-economic development, which we intend to organize on the basis of this city,” — said Mikheyev.

Clarifies that today Pecorum lacks infrastructure in the field of restaurants, hotels, and public spaces. As noted by the interlocutor of the Agency, local entrepreneurs will give out grants to increase the number of objects of tourist infrastructure and create jobs.

Support for entrepreneurs is provided by the national project “Small and medium entrepreneurship”, which is implemented in Russia at the initiative of President Vladimir Putin. It involves the increase in the number of employees in small and medium enterprises, including individual entrepreneurs, to 25 million people by the end of 2024, increasing the share of SMEs in GDP to 32 per cent and the share of exports of SMEs — up to 10 percent of the total by 2024. Only the implementation of the project it is planned to allocate more than 481 billion.
