Official Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the Russian economy to self-sufficiency is still far away, but it was a tremendous way in this direction. He said this in an interview with RTVI TV channel. A video posted on YouTube.
According to Peskov, complete self-sufficiency is difficult in our time. “But the manifestation of this inexplicable hostility, those symptoms, shall we say, non-economic methods in relation to our country talking about what’s best possible to be self-sufficient”, — he said.
Earlier, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin instructed to prepare a national plan for recovery of employment and the economy in Russia.
Russian economy suffers a double blow from the collapse in oil prices and pandemics coronavirus. According to forecasts of the head of the accounts chamber Alexey Kudrin, following the results of current year Russia’s GDP decline will amount to about 5 percent. The number of unemployed in the country could grow from 2.5 million to 8 million, he said.
