The world health organization (who) told about the risks of re-infection with coronavirus. The person whose organism has developed immunity to coronavirus infection can be infected again — the presence of antibodies does not mean security. On Thursday, April 30, in an interview with TASS said the official representative of who in Russia, Melita Vujnović.
According to her, it is not known how active the antibodies that appear after contact of the organism with COVID-19 will fight infection in the future. Vujnović also noted that contamination can occur and if the virus mutates.
“It is very important to gain knowledge about the virus and understand what’s going on,” — said the official representative of who, speaking about the Russian research laboratories.
On 28 April it was reported that Russia has decreased the spread of coronavirus infection. This was stated by the head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova. According to her, over the past month the growth rate of new infections has decreased in 3,5 times.
As of April 30, it is known that in Russia there are more than 106 thousand infected with the coronavirus in 85 regions record levels in absolute terms since the beginning of the epidemic. The last day was was 7099 new cases and 101 deaths. For the entire period recovered 11 619 patients, 1073 people died from complications.
