Stavropol regional court has softened a sentence to the policeman Azamat Ebzeeva of Karachay-Cherkessia, who escaped with a service pistol and who is currently wanted for the beating of the shepherds. It is reported by the human rights organization “Public verdict” in his Telegram channel.
Police replaced five-year term in a penal colony on probation. Ebzeeva judged for excess of powers of office with application of violence, but he did not attend the meeting in Izobil court of the Stavropol territory and disappeared. He was given five years imprisonment.
In the summer of 2013 ten policemen of the Ust-dzhegutinsky Department of the interior Ministry of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic for several KAMAZ taken from the Stavropol territory a herd of cows worth over a million rubles. While the security forces beat up the shepherds and threw it in the field. Subsequently, the criminal case was filed only in respect of two: Azamat Ebzeev and his boss. After that, police again detained and beaten by the victims, demanding to recant. During the court process when it comes continued to work in the police and carry a service weapon.
