The self-proclaimed Luhansk national Republic (LNR) has warned Ukraine about the readiness to give an adequate response to the provocation. This was stated by the representative of the LC in the Trilateral contact group (TAG) Rodion Miroshnik, reports RIA Novosti.
“We are ready for an adequate response to any provocation from the Ukrainian side (…). All military units alerted, moved to the most active sites. Therefore, we are prepared to apply in response to the actions of Ukraine’s armed forces,” said Miroshnik.
He noted that typically the LC only “restrained”, but now the authorities are ready for the wider application of the forces. According to Miroshnik, at the moment the situation is relatively stable, but the shelling from the Ukrainian side did not stop, including on infrastructure.
May 20, the self-proclaimed Republic of Donbass has led all military units in full combat readiness. The reason was intensified from the beginning of may, the shelling of the Ukrainian side. Against this background, the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky said that the head of the Ukrainian delegation in the TAG Leonid Kuchma urgently convene a meeting of the contact group in Minsk.
