Russian President Vladimir Putin during a meeting on the situation in the education system promised to give certificates to all high school graduates in 2020. Russian schoolchildren will receive them no later than June 15. This was stated by Minister of education Sergey Kravtsov at the meeting with the President. The live broadcast of the meeting leads the TV channel “Russia 24” on YouTube.
“As for the certificates — they’re issued to all graduates without examination,” — said Putin in his opening remarks. “Certificates are traditionally issued until June 15,” — said the Minister.
Also during the meeting, Putin announced the start date of the unified state exam (use). It was postponed first to June 8, and then for an indefinite period in connection with the spread of the coronavirus. The head of state announced that the first exam will be held on June 29. In 2020, the exam will take only those graduates who plan to enter higher education, others may obtain certificates according to current estimates.
