The state Duma in the third reading on 22 may approved the governmental law, which, in particular, will provide victims of coronavirus enterprises small and medium business the ability to terminate the lease contracts without penalty. About it reports TASS.

However, it is clarified that the SMEs will only get in case the landlord refuses the reduction of the Board. Security Deposit the tenant will not be refunded.

“If no agreement is reached between tenant and landlord about reducing the rent or otherwise change the terms of the contract within 14 working days after the request the lessee to the lessor, the lessee may not later 1 October 2020 to abandon the specified lease contract”, — stated in the document.

The new law will affect those industries small and medium-sized businesses that suffered most from the spread of a viral infection in the country. It is noted that the agreement on reducing the rent amount limited to a period of one year.

Russian businesses are all sorts of support measures in a pandemic coronavirus. So, banks started giving companies interest-free loans for staff salaries, but also gave the SMEs the opportunity to issue credit vacation. In addition, the country canceled more than 200 thousand of routine inspections of business in 2020 and unscheduled inspections must be agreed with the Prosecutor’s office.

Support for entrepreneurs is provided by the national project “Small and medium entrepreneurship”, which is implemented in Russia at the initiative of President Vladimir Putin. It involves the increase in the number of employees in small and medium enterprises, including individual entrepreneurs, to 25 million people by the end of 2024, increasing the share of SMEs in GDP to 32 per cent and the share of exports of SMEs — up to 10 percent of the total by 2024. Only the implementation of the project it is planned to allocate more than 481 billion.
