Ukraine in the near future, predicted the outbreak of measles due to the reduction in the number of vaccinations. This is stated on the website of President Vladimir Zelensky.
At a meeting on combating coronavirus Zelensky said that, despite the pandemic, vaccination of children against measles, tetanus and other diseases continued. However, the number of vaccinations declined by 20 percent, and it can lead to outbreak of these diseases. The Ministry of health will encourage the parents not to ignore vaccinations.
“It is important that you communicate this to the people. After all, measles, tetanus, tuberculosis as a serious illness, no less dangerous than the coronavirus infection. You need to explain to Ukrainians that vaccination is important now,” said Zelensky.
At the end of April the Minister of health of Ukraine Maxim Stepanov warned of an outbreak of tuberculosis in the country because of the deficit financing of TB facilities.
