The prospect of reducing the pension age in Russia subrealism, because its increase has enabled the state to save significant money. This was stated by the head of the State Duma Committee for labor and social policy Yaroslav Nilov, RIA Novosti reported on Saturday, may 23.
“I’m all for the retirement age lowered. As for the real prospects, I doubt very much that the government will go for it, unfortunately”, — he stressed.
Besides, the MP suggested that in the case of unemployment instead of reducing the retirement age may be the policy of targeted support for the most affected sectors. In particular, more attention will be paid to the work of the centres of employment, retraining and requalification, and possibly allocate more funds for the creation of jobs especially for young people and people approaching retirement age.
That Russia can again lower the age of retirement in case of unemployment rising in the country, earlier said the associate Professor of the Department “human capital Development” Plekhanov Russian University of Economics Farid Mirzabalaeva. According to her, this measure will be forced, if after the epidemic of the coronavirus reduced the number of vacancies. In such circumstances jobs will have to release for young people who have not earned benefits unlike the so-called pretensioner, which are protected by state manual.
