Two of the three Russians in the next six months will avoid trips abroad. This is stated in the study YES Group on request “Kommersant”.
The publication revealed that a foreign holiday this year expect only 38 percent of those surveyed, 41 percent said that not ready for it. Travel to Russia decided 48 percent of respondents, 28 percent refused such leave.
The majority of respondents — 65 percent — believe that to travel around the country will be no later than the end of August, 79 percent of survey participants believe that abroad will be possible to leave only at the end of 2020, or after the spring of 2021-th. The potential of foreign tourists most of all in Moscow — 21 percent of residents of the capital prepared to travel to other countries.
According to Aviasales, among the external areas, which remains a demand — Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Belarus and Moldova. However, many flights are conducted not for tourism purposes.
According to the statistics of tour operators, most bookings abroad are carried out for the second half of the summer. If the trip fails, the travelers will be able to reschedule the tour for other dates. It is noted that after the resumption of flights abroad, to tourists, there are a number of other difficulties: incomplete opening of borders, the decline in revenue and the growth rate of foreign currency. In addition, travelers fear getting sick on the trip.
Earlier, Vice-President of the Association of tour operators of Russia (ATOR) Dmitry Gorin called for the resumption of travel out of the country abroad. In his opinion, this will happen after the opening of borders to international traffic and the reopening of embassies.
