Preferential mortgages for families with two or more children need to be expanded, giving borrowers the opportunity to purchase housing on the secondary market. This opinion was expressed by the Deputy of the state Duma Oleg Bykov, the statement he sent to the Prime Minister of Russia Mikhail Mishustin, RIA Novosti reported.
Under current law, to take a loan at 6 percent per annum family can only purchase of residential premises on the primary real estate market. The purchase of “secondary housing” is possible only in case if the property is in a rural settlement in the far Eastern Federal district.
In his address, the Bulls pointed out that the conditions for benefit programs limit the number of people with children who have the opportunity to use loans at 6 per cent, as many choose housing on the secondary market in other regions. The MP proposed to universally extend the programme to “secondary”.
The program of preferential mortgage for families with two or more children operates in Russia since the beginning of 2019. In mid-April, 2020 in the country has also been running a mortgage at 6.5 percent per annum for all categories of the population. In the second program you can also get a loan to buy an apartment in the building. Reduced rate is valid for the whole crediting period. The maximum mortgage amount is limited: in Moscow and St.-Petersburg it is 8 million rubles, in other regions of Russia — 3 million rubles.
