The head of the Roscosmos, Dmitry Rogozin, has wanted to create a new orbital space station. He declared it on air of radio station “Komsomolskaya Pravda”.
“It is unclear what it will be international or national, is a question that will decide in the near future. But technical training must begin now,” he said.
It is estimated that the ISS will use another 7-10 years, so Russia “should create a new project.” He stressed that it is the task of the RSC “Energia”.
Previously Rogozin spoke about the “heir” of the “Buran”. He pointed out that this “very promising theme” has already begun TsNIIMash, but the timing is unknown: “what was created by our great ancestors, was ahead of its time”.
