The Ministry of culture of Russia has prepared the bill about the criteria by which historical publications will be attributed to the literary monuments. This was announced by Deputy Minister Olga Yarilova, reports “Interfax”.
It is noted that the criteria were previously written in the order of the Ministry. The draft law stipulates the stages of registration of book monuments.
Yarilova said that from 2000 to 2010, employees of the Ministry of culture and the Russian state library conducted an extensive survey and counted about eight million books in the libraries of the country, which can be attributed to the literary monuments. “It’s handwritten books, which are published to the XVIII, print publications before 1830, as well as more modern books that belong to historical collections,” explained the clerk.
Yarilova stressed that in the framework of the national project “Culture” in the country until 2024 it is planned to digitize at least 48 of the literary monuments of eight million. She expressed hope that the regional library will show initiative and you will find the funds to digitize its literary monuments after removing the isolation mode.
On the conduct of the national project “Culture” dedicated 113,5 billion. It includes three Federal programs: “Cultural environment”, “Creative people”, “Digital culture”.
