Zelensky asked for humanitarian aid from Israel

The President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky during a telephone conversation with Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu congratulated the head of the Israeli government from taking office and asked for his help in the fight against coronavirus. This is stated on the website of the President.

According to Zelensky, Ukraine and Israel has always been and will continue to be reliable friends and partners. He discussed with Netanyahu’s plans for cooperation and agreed to join efforts in the fight against the spread of coronavirus.

“Israel is an example of an effective fight against the pandemic. Would be grateful to your government for the provision of humanitarian assistance, and also for the exchange of best practices in the fight against COVID-19,” said Zelensky.

According to Netanyahu, the request of the Ukrainian side will be considered by the government. However, he Zelensky invited to visit Israel after the stabilization of the situation with the pandemic coronavirus.

Earlier, the Ukrainian government decided on the introduction until June 22, so-called adaptive quarantine for gradual removal of restrictions. It was announced the resumption of passenger road transport, the opening of suburban and interurban bus service. The government has restored the work of 66 of the checkpoints on the border with the European Union and Moldova.
