Three-time world champion in artistic gymnastics, Arthur Dalaloyan told about the circumstances of the infection of coronavirus athletes on a closed database “Novogorsk” in the Moscow suburb of Khimki. His words leads TASS.
Dalaloyan said he was still unclear where the athletes could get COVID-19. According to him, after the incident, athletes with negative results moved to a separate part of the base. “It was assumed that we will be closed on two weeks without training, distributed into groups, and these fives we had to walk to eat, walk no farther than 50 meters from the hotel”, — said the gymnast. In the end, the athletes were sent home to comply with the quarantine.
Russian national team on sports gymnastics were collected on the basis of “Novogorsk”. 2 April it became known that two of them passed test positive for coronavirus. They were the gymnast Sergey Naydin and head coach Andrei Rodionenko.
