“We’ll do it in the day, when in 1945 took place the historic parade of the winners, when on red square were the soldiers who fought at Moscow and defended Leningrad, fought at Stalingrad, liberated Europe, who took Berlin by storm,” — said the head of state.
The Russian leader instructed to begin preparations for the event. Ensuring the strictest security in that day will the head of the defense Ministry Sergei Shoigu. This will minimize all the risks.
In addition, Putin stressed that during the campaign “Immortal regiment” it is impossible to observe social distance, therefore it will be held only on July 26, after the parade of the Navy.
Earlier, Deputy speaker of the state Duma Igor Lebedev did not rule out that a referendum on amendments to the Constitution of Russia can be held on June 24, the same day as the Victory parade.
