The information that Russia has sent to Libya MiG-29 and su-35 and su-24 bombers included in the composition of its Air and space forces (VKS), is not true. About it in conversation with “Interfax” said the first Deputy Chairman of the Duma Committee on defense Andrei Krasov.

“Another horror story American. It is fake and misinformation in the spirit of previous U.S. administrations,” — responded the Deputy.

On the transfer of Russian combat aircraft to Libya earlier on 26 may announced African command of the US Armed forces. It was explained that the first fighters and bombers from Russia were sent to Syria, where they are repainted to hide the Russian origin. After that, they relocated to Libya.

In February, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan accused the Russian military leadership, including defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, in waging war in Libya with the involvement of mercenaries. The Russian foreign Ministry reacted to this statement, noting that it is not true. Erdogan also spoke about some of the pictures, which depicted Shoigu, chief of General staff of the Russian Armed forces Valery Gerasimov, the Libyan field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, as well as someone whom Erdogan called the head of the PMC Wagner.
