More than 270 billion rubles allocated in 2020 to help with cancer of the Russians. It is reported RIA Novosti with reference to the press service of the Ministry of health of Russia.
The funds are aimed at providing medical care to patients with cancer in accordance with clinical guidelines. Also the money will go to increasing the availability of anticancer drug therapy and other modern methods of treatment.
Total allocated 271,3 billion. 95 billion will be spent on chemotherapy, 10.6 billion — for radiation therapy and 9.4 billion — surgical treatment. “As of April 1, 2020, the subsidy was provided to the subjects of the Russian Federation in the amount of 67.8 billion rubles, the use of subventions amounted to 63.5 billion rubles (93.6 per cent of the funding)”, — told in the Ministry of health.
Reducing the mortality from cancer is one of the goals of the national project “Health”, which will be completed by the end of 2024. In total it is planned to spend more than 1.7 trillion rubles. The project also aimed at providing Russians with affordable health care and improving its quality, the changing nature of relations between doctors and patients, increasing to 70 percent coverage of primary prevention, introduction of modern clinical recommendations, increase the average life expectancy of Russians at the age of 78 and more.
