Belarus among the top ten leading countries by number of reported cases COVID-19 per million people. On Wednesday, may 27, according to Tut.by.

According to the latest data, Belarus showed 38 956 infected with a coronavirus. For the past day for the first time in the last three weeks, growth of new cases was less than 900 (897). The number of new infected is almost equal to the number recovered.

At the same time, Belarus entered the top ten on the number of infected people per million population. Above it are Chile, Belgium, Ireland, USA, Kuwait, Bahrain, Singapore, Spain and Qatar. In the ranking was not taken into account dwarf state like the Vatican or San Marino.

The total number of infected Belarus occupies the 22nd place in the world. The Ministry explained the increase in diagnosed cases of coronavirus, a large number of tests.

Earlier the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that the epidemiological situation in the country has improved, but urged not to relax and prepare for the second wave of coronavirus.

In mid-may, Deputy head of the Ministry of health Elena Bogdan announced that the country has reached a plateau in the incidence of coronavirus.

Belarus has not imposed strict quarantine restrictions. Lukashenko explained that economic reasons and cited the situation of coronavirus in the world of psychosis.
