Doctor and TV presenter Alexander mjasnikov has explained why in April 2020, mortality in Russia increased by 20 percent compared to the same period last year, despite the low mortality rate of coronavirus in the country. In an interview with Ksenia Sobchak, published on its YouTube channel, he explained this statistics “pay for COVID”.

“At the front you can die from a bullet, but can be hit by friendly fire, you could die from typhus, you can die from something” — drew an analogy doctor. He added that because of the pandemic, the global health system had collapsed and all the powers of medicine were thrown into the fight against the coronavirus, therefore, in his opinion, there was the so-called “collateral losses”. “It is conventionally those people who would not have died of a heart attack, cancer and so on,” explained Sobchak.

In an interview with Sobchak butchers also said that he considers it permissible to kill people to defend the honor and dignity. He told about his friend who was convicted of murder, and added that he understands what he did.

As of 27 may in Russia was 370 680 cases of infection with coronavirus. Since the beginning of the epidemic 142 208 recovered, even 3968 patients with confirmed COVD-19 died.
