Former Chancellor of Germany called the Ambassador of Ukraine dwarf



Former German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder spoke about sanctions during a pandemic and called the Ukrainian Ambassador in Germany, the dwarf in his podcast “the Agenda” (Die Agenda). The entry portal has published Münchner Merkur.

He stressed that he considers pointless is still in effect sanctions: in the opinion of the ex-Chancellor, during the crisis would not cancel and to strengthen international cooperation. “I was trying to indicate that it applies to Russia. EU countries, USA and Ukraine first imposed economic sanctions against Moscow in 2014. It happened after the Crimea according to the results of the referendum became part of Russia. The annexation of the Peninsula was deemed illegal, but Moscow denies these charges. Then in 2015, the sanctions were imposed because of the conflict in the Donbass. In response, Moscow imposed a ban on food imports from countries that supported sanctions.
