Furniture retailer IKEA explained the difference in the price of goods in the Russian and Ukrainian shops. Writes about this edition of The Page with reference to the press service of the company.
It is noted that the products of IKEA are more expensive, than in Russia. So, on the Russian website store the cost of the mattress “of Hovah” is almost 13 thousand rubles, and on the Ukrainian site — 6.5 thousand (by 17.1 thousand).
The company explained that prices are due to several factors, among which, in particular, trade volumes, currency fluctuations, import duties and transport costs.
In October last year, the network has compared Russian and Ukrainian food prices in the shops of the trade network “Auchan”. It turned out that the main food products in Russia mostly are cheaper than in Ukraine. Thus, the minimum cost of a kilogram of potatoes in Ukraine amounted to UAH 14 (39 rubles), and in Russia — 12 rubles. The price of a kilogram of rice in Kiev — 20,95 hryvnia (55.14 ruble), in Saratov — from 59 rubles.
