In Iran decided to ban rape girls and stricter laws regarding violence against women. This was announced by Vice-President for women and family Masume Ebtekar in his Twitter.
“I demanded to accelerate preparation of draft laws that would ensure the safety of women,” she said. It happened once in one of the villages of the district Talesh in the North the father is decapitated by his own 14-year-old daughter, reports BBC News. The girl wanted to run away with a man twice her age: then a parent decided to make “honour killing”.
President Hassan Rouhani also commented on the situation and urged to expedite the preparation of bills against violence.
According to the Islamic penal code in force in Iran, in cases of “honour killings” can weaken penalties for family members. If a person is found guilty in the murder of his daughter, the punishment will be from 3 to 10 years of imprisonment instead of the death penalty, which is usually provided in such cases.
