According to him, stress occurs due to prolonged stay in small apartments with relatives. “It can be compared to a prison where they poke a lot of people. (…) The constant need to communicate causes stress, and stress is the hormone cortisol. It promotes very rapid weight gain,” stated nutritionist. He stressed that in normal times a person can gain 150 grams of fat, and under stress — up to 300 grams.
Not to gain weight, Kovalkov was advised to remove from the diet sugar, white polished rice, potatoes, white bread and juice and honey.
Earlier, the head of the Center for the study of eating disorders Anna Korshunova said that the Russians wish to arrange a small snack on the isolation is not due to hunger, and anxiety.
