Alexander Brevemente: Emin Jafarov / “Kommersant”
Two main performance targets of the national project “Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and support of individual business initiative” called for a recount after the pandemic coronavirus. The proposal was made by the head of Federal Corporation on development of small and medium enterprises (SME Corporation) Alexander Braverman.
“Of course, suggestions [about changes of indicators of the project] based on the calculations we are going to nominate. There are two key indicators — the share of SMEs in GDP and employment in the field. Of course, both figures should be recalculated”, — he said.
The head of the Corporation emphasized that the indicators will change on the basis of calculations based on real consumer demand, on the basis of three phases: the phase of exit from the restrictive measures after a coronavirus, recovery and economic stabilization and growth phase of the economy.
25 may the head of the Ministry of economic development Maxim Reshetnikov spoke about the government’s intention to review the range of activities and possible targets of national projects. However, according to him, this will be done only in August-September.
Support for entrepreneurs is provided by the national project “Small and medium entrepreneurship”, which is implemented in Russia at the initiative of President Vladimir Putin. It involves the increase in the number of employees in small and medium enterprises, including individual entrepreneurs, to 25 million people by the end of 2024, increasing the share of SMEs in GDP to 32 per cent and the share of exports of SMEs — up to 10 percent of the total by 2024. Only the implementation of the project it is planned to allocate more than 481 billion.
