Travel abroad can be renewed for the Russians closer to the fall. This forecast was voiced by the Executive Director of the Association of tour operators of Russia (ATOR) Maya Lomidze live in Instagram, hosted by TV presenter Svetlana Zeynalova. Her words given on the official website ATOR.
“According to our preliminary information, until September, do not expect the lifting of bans on the sale of tours of Russia abroad”, — said the expert, adding that the resumption of international tourism — a two way process.
“If the recovery of any part of regular flights abroad in the summer do you expect, the prospects of the launch of Charter flights, while vague,” — said Lomidze.
However, on its assurances, summer holidays at Russian resorts will still take place, as the resorts of Krasnodar region are waiting for the first tourists already June 1, but first those who have a Spa stay.
“I would also not recommend tourists not to risk and not to go on vacation without “certificates of epidokruzhenii”. Without them, the sanatorium has no right to take” — said Lomidze.
May 25, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko said that at the moment there is no possibility of the resumption of trips abroad due to the spread of the pandemic coronavirus. Speaking at the briefing, Chernyshenko noted that he understands the need and importance of travel for the modern man, but the preconditions for the recovery of international tourism yet.
Earlier, Vice-President ATOR Dmitry Gorin called for the resumption of travel out of the country abroad. In his opinion, this will happen after the opening of borders to international traffic and the reopening of embassies. They should start about June 15.
Russia closed the border with the March 30, 2020 to prevent the spread of coronavirus. The right to cross the border have only military and civilian personnel of the Russian military bases overseas, workers in the nuclear industry involved in the construction of overseas ships ‘ crews, as well as diplomats, bound for Kaliningrad transit passengers and Russians going abroad for the funeral of a relatives.
