The United States urged Russia and Turkey “to cease their activities” in Libya. This was stated by Pentagon spokesman Jonathan Hoffman. His words leads RIA Novosti.

Hoffman noted that the American side acts against the military attacks in Libya. “We want a secure and stable Libya. We are confident that our mission there is to diplomatic and counter-terrorism support and deepening partnership,” he said.

Pentagon spokesman also commented about the 14 su-24 and MiG-29, which are allegedly in Libya. He noted that he has no precise information on this.

Earlier, the African command of the US Armed forces announced that Russia has sent to Libya MiG-29 and su-35 and su-24 bombers included in the composition of its Air and space forces (VKS). It was explained that the first combat aircraft from Russia were transferred to Syria, where they are repainted to hide the Russian origin. After that, they relocated to Libya.
