The representative of Russia in OSCE tried to disrupt an online discussion of the situation in the Crimea, reports “Radio Freedom”.
“Unprecedented in the OSCE in Vienna the representative of Russia tries to prevent and to interrupt his speech that he does not like, from the Ukraine and another expert on the situation in the security sphere in the Black and Azov seas,” complained the correspondent Rikard Uswak.
From the Ukrainian side the event was attended by the head of the representative office of the President in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea Anton Korynevych. He made a presentation about the threats to regional and international security of the Russian “militarization” of the Black and Azov seas.
18 may it was reported that the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine has developed the “strategy of de-occupation of the Crimea.” Chapter vneshnepoliticheskogo Minister Dmitry Kuleba noted that the country has to be internally prepared for the “reintegration” of the Peninsula.
Crimea became part of Russia in 2014, after a referendum in which the majority of respondents supported this decision. In the same year, the United States, European Union and some other countries have introduced sanctions against Russia due to the annexation of the Peninsula. Kiev considers the territory annexed and accuses Moscow of violating the rights of the Crimean Tatars. Russian authorities deny these accusations.
