Zelensky approved the program “Ukraine — NATO”

The President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky approved the annual national program “Ukraine — NATO” for the year 2020, according to “112.ua”.

The signed decree said that the program “identifies the strategic goal, objectives and priorities of the” Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine. Special attention is paid to achieving compliance with the criteria of NATO membership, the transfer of security sector and defence of the country to the standards of the Alliance.

The document stresses that the goal of political dialogue with NATO is providing political and practical support of the Alliance and its member States sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine.

Earlier, the former Deputy head of the administration of the fifth President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko Andriy Senchenko said that NATO should pay Ukraine compensation in the amount of 200 billion US dollars for the renunciation of nuclear status.
