In the latest edition of amendments to the law on insurance came the language that would allow insurers to raise rates for all Russian motorists. It became known of it “Газете.RU”.
In the final version of the law on insurance appeared subparagraph “g” providing for the reasons for which any insured may be assigned an individual price policy. “These factors will be set by the insurers themselves, they should not be the same for all companies, so this provision is not an exhaustive list,” — said the Chairman of the Duma Committee on financial market Anatoly Aksakov.
This approach, he said, will allow insurers to set individual rates for a particular policy owner with regard to its manner of driving and other factors affecting the degree of insurance risk.
The vague wording of the reform of insurance will allow insurers to cash in on motorists, said the first Deputy Chairman of the state Duma on state building and legislation Vyacheslav Lysakov. “The moral of moral restraint — it’s not about our financiers, marketeers and not by our oversight, which, in terms of damage from theft insurers of funds, uses it as the main argument and justification for tariff increases CTP”, — said the Deputy.
Earlier, on 26 may, Russian Union of motor insurers (RAMI) has explained new rules for issuing CTP drivers, according to which violations of traffic rules (SDA) will now be considered when determining the tariff. Input rules allow insurers to consider several types of gross violations of traffic rules. These include driving while intoxicated, refusal of medical examination for intoxication or the driver escape the scene of the accident.
The law about the new rules of issuance of insurance signed by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin on may 25.
