Irish fighter of the mixed style (MMA) Conor McGregor took up the challenge of the Brazilian Anderson Silva, proclaimed the best fighter in history. He said this in his Twitter account.
“I agree,” wrote MacGregor in response to the publication of The Mac Life. It says that Silva in his Instagram account suggested the Irishman to fight in the category up to 176 pounds (79.8 kilograms) and recognized that highly respects him as an athlete. He expressed the hope that this fight may become historic for MMA.
McGregor was called upon to consider the Brazilian is the best fighter in MMA history. He put on second place. Later he changed his mind and proclaimed himself the greatest fighter.
Silva had the championship belt ultimate fighting championship (UFC) Middleweight title from October 2006 to July 2013. He spent 10 successful defenses of the title. Just on account of his 45 fights under MMA rules, 34 wins and 10 losses. Another battle with his participation was declared invalid.
McGregor became the champion of UFC in two weight categories. Before the Irish scored the same achievement in the British promotion Cage Warriors. Just for a career in mixed martial arts he had 26 fights, 22 of which have ended in his victory.
