The President of Fund “Public opinion” Alexander Oslon called consequences of a pandemic for Russian education. He told this in an interview with “Izvestia”.
According to him, distance education is perceived differently in schools and universities. Thus, schools unhappy with some teachers, parents, children. “All dissatisfied, so everything will be back to the old regime,” he said. The Oslon believes that there will be a slight progress with the introduction of network methods, however, the learning process returns to offline.
In the universities the situation is different, says the sociologist. According to him, many students reacted positively to distance learning. Therefore, in the field of higher education the period of isolation may leave “a larger footprint”, says the specialist.
Russian universities, colleges and schools are fully moved to distance learning because of the pandemic coronavirus. To conduct the exam format remotely was not possible because, as explained by the head of Rosobrnadzor Anzor Muzaev, technologically, the system is not ready. In addition, after recent calls in-line in the Ministry of education said they expect to hold graduation at the schools in person. In the high schools prom will be held online. The national event is tentatively scheduled on 4 July.
