A survey in the new nuclear medicine Center in the Kirov region will be 1.5 thousand people in 2020 and three thousand people — in 2021-m. this was announced by the Governor of the region Igor Vasiliev in “Vkontakte”.
The opening of the Center is expected in August this year. This event will introduce in the Kirov region the new direction of hi-tech medical aid for the Russians with cancer. “It is extremely important that medical services for diagnostic purposes for staging and confirmation of diagnosis of malignant tumors using PET CT in nuclear medicine will be in the framework of the territorial program OMS,” — said Vasilyev.
According to him, similar surveys will be available not only to inhabitants of the Kirov region, but also patients from the Republic of Komi, Republic of Mari El, Udmurtia and Arkhangelsk region.
Earlier in may, the health Ministry of Russia reported that in the year 2020 to help cancer patients citizens were allocated more than 270 billion rubles. Funds were allocated for the provision of medical care to patients with cancer in accordance with clinical guidelines and improve the accessibility of anticancer drug therapy and other modern methods of treatment.
Reducing the mortality from cancer is one of the goals of the national project “Health”, which will be completed by the end of 2024. In total it is planned to spend more than 1.7 trillion rubles. The project also aimed at providing Russians with affordable health care and improving its quality, the changing nature of relations between doctors and patients, increasing to 70 percent coverage of primary prevention, introduction of modern clinical recommendations, increase the average life expectancy of Russians at the age of 78 and more.
