Former CSKA midfielder Pontus Wernbloom, currently plays for Greek PAOK, in an interview with YouTube channel of the army spoke about the fear of Russia.
“When I signed the contract, I was scared. In the West, as if to say… not always speak well about Russia. So I had concerns,” recalled Wernbloom. The midfielder added that after moving to Moscow, changed his point of view, noting that he was happy all the time in CSKA.
The player also admitted that he still follows the performance of the army. “CSKA and the game play-this club is a big part of my life. So I’m now interested in him as closely as I can,” concluded the Swede.
Wernbloom played for CSKA Moscow from 2012 till 2018. Together with the team three times he became the champion of Russia and won the Cup. In season 2015/2016, the Swede got a list of the best players in the championship according to the Russian football Union.
