Striker youth team of Russia on hockey Yegor Sokolov told about the attitude of Canadians to the Russians. His words leads “Match TV”.

“Canadians are afraid of the Russians. I’m kidding, but talking about politics. The stereotype is Russian mafia. Make fun and demanding: “Falcon, you’re only the Russian mob on me and do not point!”” — said Sokolov. According to him, Russian President Vladimir Putin — a big name for Canadians.

Hockey player added that he wants to stay in Canada. “If I have some minimal chance in North America, I will fight for it”, — he concluded.

Last season, the 19-year-old Russian played in the Junior League of Quebec for the command “Cape Breton”. In 52 matches, the striker scored 92 (46+46) points. Together with the Russian youth team he reached the finals of the world Cup 2020, where the team lost to the Canadians with the score 3:4.
