In the period of the pandemic in the fashion industry, the demand for residential property in Saint Petersburg has decreased by about two times compared to the “decolonise” indicators. This was stated by Deputy Chairman of the construction Committee of the city Yevgeny Baranovsky, reports RIA Novosti.
Speaking about the collapsed level of activity of buyers, the official expressed the hope of his speedy growth. “We fix the decline in demand for 50-55 percent. We now compare the months, but still I want to believe that the Federal measures that have been taken by the government, will enable us to reach a constant last year, when demand was equal to supply,” said Baranowski.
Recent statistics of the conclusion of contracts of share participation (PO) in the construction of housing shows a positive trend, he added.
Deputy head of the analytical center of the company “House.Russia” Nikita Belousov said earlier that by the end of April in Russia as a whole, the demand for primary residential property decreased by 30 percent. In February and March in the country on average sold for 300-350 thousand square meters of housing per week, the last week of April it was sold only 220 thousand, the expert said.
