The Pentagon has ordered military police units to be ready to deploy in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where for several days there have been protests with the unrest and riots because of the death of black men George Floyd. It is reported Associated Press with reference to three sources who were personally acquainted with the relevant order.
According to the Agency, the deployment of troops in an American city is a rare opportunity for the Ministry of defence.
In readiness given military police units in the States of North Carolina and new York, the soldiers were ordered to be ready to deploy in Minneapolis within four hours after receipt of the order. Similar instructions were also received by military personnel in the States of Colorado and Kansas, they need to be ready for the transfer in the throes of riots in the city during the day. Just prepared to send 800 soldiers.
According to a senior source in the Pentagon, these orders came after the President of the United States Donald trump asked the Minister of defense Mark Esper possible options for rapid response in case if the situation in Minneapolis is out of control.
