The Deputy of the state Duma, the former world Boxing champion Nikolai Valuev responded to the proposal with a gay magazine on the collaboration. The statement appeared in the web-conference athlete.
One of the users who introduced himself as the chief editor of a gay magazine, has offered Valuev to give an interview to their publication, noting that the editorial Board expects to “get acquainted” with the former boxer. The Deputy refused the offer. He wrote that the information on this revision can be found in Wikipedia and listed his family members.
Valuev has left professional Boxing in 2010. He twice became the world champion by the world Boxing Association (WBA) in heavy weight. Scoring 52 fights in the professional ring where he won 50 wins (34 by knockout) and suffered two defeats.
Valuev was elected Deputy of the state Duma from the Kemerovo regional branch of the party “United Russia” in 2011. He is also a member of the Duma Committee on physical culture, sports and youth Affairs.
