In Belarus, the tense pre-election atmosphere. This was stated by first Deputy Minister of internal Affairs Gennady Kazakevich, reports “Interfax”.
According to him, the chief electoral officer, who conducted the parliamentary elections, began to receive threats. The Commission for presidential elections has not yet been formed. Police called the event a planned stock.
“I want to say that MHA has a sufficient number of forces and means in order to effectively neutralize these threats,” added em.
On 19 April President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that the upcoming presidential elections, scheduled for August 9, will be fair and decent. As of June 1 of 14 candidates are collecting signatures for the nomination of a candidate for the presidency of the country.
Stretch Lukashenko is President of Belarus since July 1994. Now comes his fifth presidential term, which will expire in 2020. On elections of the President in 2001, 2006, 2010 and 2015 he scored at least 75 percent of the vote. His sons Viktor and Dmitry held high public office in the Belarusian power system.
