In the state Duma proposed to introduce in Russia the minimum hourly wage and to pay workers 150 rubles per hour. The bill was sent to the government parliamentarians from the liberal democratic party, reports RIA Novosti.
The authors of the bill were made by the head of the Duma Committee on labour and social policy Yaroslav Nilov, the Deputy speaker of the state Duma Igor Lebedev, head of the Committee on Federal Alexei Didenko, the Deputy Andrei Svintsov and Senator Sergey Leonov.
“At the conclusion of the urgent labour contract on part-time work for the calculation of remuneration employee’s applicable minimum hourly wage. Set the minimum hourly wage from 1 January 2021 in the amount of 150 rubles per hour,” reads the draft law.
The minimum wage shall be indexed once a year based on the increase in consumer prices over the previous year. Also clarifies that the application of the minimum hourly wage for other purposes is not allowed.
The authors explain that according to the minimum wage, the hourly rate is from 89,85 of the ruble in may to 65,92 of the ruble in July. The establishment of the minimum hourly wage in Russia, according to the authors of the bill, will help to increase the incomes of Russians in the conditions of a pandemic, and also to bring the level of wages of working citizens to the level of industrialized countries.
